Reskate Studio’s Glow-in-the-Dark Murals Light Up Stories Around the World

Reskate Studio is an art collective formed by María López and Javier de Riba taking street art to another level with their glow-in-the-dark creations.

The duo’s work is unique for its ability to tell two different stories at once. During the day, their murals are stunning pieces that draw from the culture and history of the area they’re in. But at night, when the lights go out, these pieces transform with phosphorescent layers that reveal hidden images, bringing a whole new dimension to the artwork.

Over the years, they’ve brought meaningful narratives to light (literally) across the globe—from Barcelona to Beijing, Açores to Los Angeles—each mural reflecting the local community’s identity and values. These artworks are deeply tied to their surroundings, presenting history, mythology or untold tales in a way that feels personal to the people who live there.
