AYANEO Revals Pricing for Game Boy-Inspired Pocket DMG & Micro Handhelds

Published Aug 1, 2024

AYANEO has just unveiled the pricing for their latest gaming handhelds, the AYANEO Pocket DMG and AYANEO Pocket Micro, with pre-orders now live on Indiegogo.

There are a few configuration options available for each device, as well as limited edition variants featuring retro-inspired color combinations. Early bird pricing starts at $339 for the AYANEO Pocket DMG and $189 for the AYANEO Pocket Micro.

The AYANEO Pocket DMG is inspired by the classic Game Boy, featuring a vertical design, a sleek body frame with rounded corners, and a curved grip area for enhanced ergonomics. But the main highlights of the device is the gorgeous 3.92″ OLED screen.

The handheld will be powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip so it should handle both retro titles and high-end mobile games with ease. The Pocket DMG also introduces an innovative control scheme with a unique analog stick and touchpad combo, complemented by ergonomically designed shoulder buttons and a retro-style roller key.

On the other hand, the AYANEO Pocket MICRO pays homage to the Game Boy Micro with a super sleek bezel-less full-screen design. This small handheld features a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 960×640, four times the pixel density of the original Game Boy Advance.

The Pocket MICRO will be powered by the Helio G99 processor, which is perfectly suited for handling GBA games as well as a range of other systems. Its compact size, similar to an iPhone 15 Pro Max, should make it easily pocketable too.
